약과 Yakgwa

Indulgence of royals

Yakgwa were made for kings and queens of Joseon. They were, and even now, are a quintessential component of traditional feasts and celebrations.

"Yak" means medicinal, and "gwa" represents foods with sweetness. They are called yakgwa because were made with healthy and precious ingredients such as ginger, honey, dechu.

We curated an artisan who's craft has been passed down from the last head of royal kitchen of Joseon and the Empire of Korea, Han Hui Soon.

And now, we sincerely share the experience with you.
